BRIGHTON

Apologies for the long absence. I've been working loads and travelling loads having been to Poland for the last 5 days. Last week, me and my friend Dori also went to Brighton.

It was cold, windy and rainy, but we decided to have fun nevertheless, so we took a stroll down the beach and had those amazing swirly ice cream at the pier.

FIFTEEN YEARS HAVE PASSED

And I'm still obsessed with this song.

TWO OF MY FAVOURITE FASHION BLOGS AT THE MOMENT

While surviving in the fashion industry can involve a lot of inside politics, I find that those, who are the most objective, and sometimes the most sincere in their judgement, are fellow bloggers. And despite the raging debate about Bryan Boy, Tavi and co joining Anna Wintour in the front row, I think it's refreshing to see that those with a real love for clothes can now enjoy the shows as much as those, who are paid to cover them.

So here are two new blogs, which I randomly discovered whilst browsing through my favourite sites. Both of them display a lot of originality as well as sharp critique - after all, something that you can't find on newwstands that often.

1. The Man Repeller

Taking the idea of clothes that women love, but men hate, The Man Repeller is an extremely insightful analysis of street style fads that the "non-fashion" consumer is not likely to comprehend. That includes clogs, 80s flashbacks and of course, the harem trousers. Basically, everything that you see on the catwalk, and everything that will guarantee you NO success on a first date.

2. Searching for Style

Searching for Style is edited by Alexandra Suhner Isenberg, who previously worked as a designer at Burberry. Two years ago, Alexandra decided to move back to Canada and started her own fashion blog, which displays her own opinion on shows. My favourite section is the "I love..." and "I loathe..." - an analysis of trends that's so honest, it's not afraid to compare Balenciaga's pre-collection suits to those of a 60s stewardess. This girl definitely knows her game!

BOYS AND GIRLS AT THE RCA SHOW

A few snaps I took at the Royal College of Art MA Fashion show last Wednesday. Pictures number 1, 5 and 6 show the beautifully-crafted menswear collection of my friend Tiffany Tang.

MEET CARA

The 17-year-old model is the sister of model/socialite Poppy Delevigne as well as the goddaughter of everyone's favourite soap star, Joan Collins. I got quite obsessed with photographing her last February.

PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK

And here's another film that I love and never fails to deliver visual inspiration. It's from the Australian director Peter Weir and tells the story of a group of 19th century school girls, who - while at a picnic - embark on a walk in the mountains that they never come back from... Apparently it's based on a real story. Some people insist it's a bit long-winded, but I always thought it was really great.
